Charles P. Jennings, 81, of Golden, passed away September 15, 2017.
He was born October 4, 1935 in borger, Texas, the son of Frank and Freida (Williams) Jennings.
He was a graduate of Borger High School. He attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX.
In his early years, Chuck was in Future Farmers of America, the Jaycees and worked for his father's prominent furniture store in Borger. He owned and enjoyed horses, and he often rode in local rodeos and parades. His favorite roping horse was named "Pat".
Chuck was always a member of the Christian church and loved singing in the choir, and he loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart.
Chuck loved being outside, on the water, camping and in the mountains. He loved spending time with his family.
One of the important periods in his life was as a Regional Director for the Boy Scouts of America, and those who knew Chuck best knew he was always a boy scout at heart.
He moved his family to Denver CO in 1972, to be in the health insurance field, where he spent the majority of his working life.
Charles is survived by three children, Steven C. (Elizabeth) Jennings, William M. Jennings and Elizabeth A. (Paul) Seveland; the mother of the children, Nell Jennings; seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Jennings, Kathleen Jennings, Joshua Jennings, Jeffrey (Kara) Seveland, Alicia Seveland, Joseph (Kimberlee) Seveland, and David Seveland; great-grandchild, Cole Parsons; his big brother, Roy (June) Jennings, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by father, Frank Roy Jennings; mother, Freida Margaret Jennings and sister, Eleanor Jennings.
