Charles "Chuck" Steven Frederick 1947-2012
64, of Aurora passed away from heart failure on Thursday March 01, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Pierce) Frederick, mother, Helen (Burt) Frederick, three children: Heather (Darin) Rogge, Sheryl (Ivan) Hoopman, and Doug (Elaine) Pearce, three grandchildren: Kyle and Alyse Hoopman and Alexa Rogge, brothers: Rick (Diane) Frederick and Don (Beth) Frederick. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Rose, and father, Charles Frederick.
He was called Steve by the Frederick family and Chuck by his loving wife,children and friends.
His grandparents Walter Eddy and Josephine (Gorczyca) Frydrych were Polish immigrants and raised their family in Ipswich, MA.
Charles Steven was born in Alliance, Ohio, April 8, 1947 to parents Charles and Helen Frederick. With his father in the Air Force the family transferred to many places including Japan and Germany. In 1959 his father retired and settled in Tampa, Florida where Charles Steven attended Robinson High School. He made the swimming and wrestling teams and won several awards.
Charles Steven entered the University of Florida in 1965 majoring in
Architecture, then received his military draft notice. He enlisted in the
Air Force where he worked in guidance systems and fighter jet radar.
He was medically discharged from the Air Force.
In Dec. 1975, he married Betty, who he had met at a ski club. They enjoyed
an adventurous thirty-six years together. He had a long successful career as a
Computer Engineer. Some of the companies he worked for were CompuCom,
Microage and IBM. He served many of the local Denver and surrounding area hospitals.
He received many honorary awards.
Chuck enjoyed snow skiing, river rafting, spelunking, bowling, the Broncos
and music from the Beetles, Elvis and the 60's and 70's. He was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan. For many years he and wife Betty participated in weekend toy shows selling popular toys from the 70s and 80s.
His biggest joy was spending time with his own beloved children and grandchildren. They could always put a smile on his face and lift his spirits. He loved them dearly!
He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, family and friends.
Following the ceremony an open house for family
