Cheryl Sue Powis , 60, of Littleton, Colorado, died February 23, 2017.
She was adopted by the late Ralph and Maxine DeWolfe, in Topeka, KS.
Cheryl graduated from Urbandale High School (Iowa), in 1975. During her middle school years she could run like the wind. Cheryl married Tom Powis in 1982, and they lived together in Littleton, CO.
Cheryl was a dental assistant, medical claims processor, daycare provider and preschool teacher.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tom Powis, one son, James Powis, two step-sons: Michael Powis and Jonathan Powis all of Littleton and a brother: David DeWolfe of California. She also is survived by three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association.
A Memorial Service will be March 12, 2017 at 1:00pm at Columbine United Church, 6375 S. Platte Canyon Rd., Littleton, CO 80123. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
