Claudine Buffalow

Our beloved wife and mother, Claudine Moore Buffalow, 84, of Lakewood, CO passed away, Sunday, November 27, 2016. She will be dearly missed by both family and friends.

She and her twin sister, Pauline, were born to the late James Roy Moore & Gladys Marie Brown Moore, April 1, 1932 in Franklin, Kentucky. Claudine attended Central High School in Pueblo, CO.

She eloped and married Daryl W. Spear on July 12, 1949 in Raton, New Mexico and lived in Pueblo, Alamosa, and Garden Grove, CA before they ended up moving back to Pueblo, CO. Daryl & Claudine had two boys: Robert "Bobby" Wayne Spear & Mark Daniel Spear who were both born in Pueblo, Colorado.

She married Robert "Bob" G. Buffalow on August 25, 1961 in Pueblo, Colorado where they made their home. They were married 55 years. Bob worked for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad and was transferred to Helper, Utah in 1964. The family lived and made their home in Price, Utah. Bob & Claudine also had two boys: Douglas Clarence Buffalow who was born in Pueblo, CO & David Robert Buffalow who was born in Price, UT.

The family moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1972 and has lived in the area since then, except for Bob's 3-year temporary assignment with the railroad in Steamboat Springs, CO from 1974 to 1977.

Claudine spent 8 years working for DuPont as the secretary to the regional manager.

Above all, Claudine loved her twin sister, Pauline. They had a unique bond that only exists between identical twins. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time spent with family.

Claudine is survived by her husband Bob Buffalow; her son Mark & Karen Spear of Spokane Valley, WA who have 5 of her grandchildren: Emily & Kirt Christensen of Spokane Valley, WA; Ryan & Angela Spear of Meridian, ID; Jessy & Josh Madsen of Glenville, NY; Jon & Michelle Spear of Spokane Valley, WA; and Cameron and Rachel Spear of Greenacres, WA; and her son, David Buffalow of Lakewood, CO who has 2 of her grandchildren: Nicole & Zachary Buffalow; and the 2 grandchildren of her son Bobby (deceased) & Alice Spear (living): Christi and Sara.

She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren: Tanner, Kathleen, Katie, Brandon, Cody, Garret, Will, Nixon, Lucy, Sadie, Ike, Annie, Jack, Maddie, Ollie, Avery & Scarlet; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and her twin sister Pauline Zink of Lakewood, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy & Gladys Moore, two of her sons: Bobby Spear & Douglas Buffalow and her brother Jimmy Moore.
