Cleo was united in marriage to Milton Brown Sr. In 1951. During their 16 yrs of marriage they had three children Alvie Dee, Milton Jr. and Mary. Milton's service in the United States Air Force took them to several countries around the world including Spain, where she gave birth to one of their children. After spending years abroad and living around the country including Louisiana and California. In 1970 Cleo relocated to Alaska and was blessed with another son, Robert Page. After many years, she left Alaska and relocated to Aurora, Colorado in 2000 where she would remain. She spent her final years enjoying and caring for her family.
Cleo was a hard worker and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. When her children were young she would play pity pat and rummy with them. She enjoyed sitting on a fishing bank with a pole in the water, going for peaceful drives or people watching, whether it be at a park in the city or the garage at home. Wherever she was she left an impression with her smile. She will always be remembered as the warm, caring woman who enjoyed the love and affection of those closest to her. She had a beautiful smile that brightened so many days and touched so many lives. She is that mother's love that sacrificed and nurtured babes to fine adults. She is that grandmother, that granny, that friend who loved and cared. We love you Cleo Josephine Shavers; your life is a light that will shine in us forever. Know as you watch down from heaven, that you are forever loved, missed and remembered.
