Cole's obituary: Cole Christopher Prall, beloved son of Natalie Pauline Castoreno and Christopher James Prall, passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on October 25, 2017 at 10:20am. For 18 hours and 16 minutes, Cole knew an unlimited amount of love in his limited time. He touched many lives and was loved deeply by his parents, family, and friends in his all too brief time with us.
He was born October 24, 2017 at 4:04pm at Children's Hospital Colorado, weighing 1 lb.15.98 oz. and measuring 13 3/4" long. Prior to his birth, Cole was diagnosed with the chromosomal disorder Trisomy 18. His parents knew that his time with them would be limited and they feel so blessed to have spent a day with him. Cole had moments of looking around, of raising and kicking his feet, and his parents even got to hear him whine and cry a few times. He was a beautiful little boy with a head full of dark hair. They are grateful for the memories created with him and look forward to one day being reunited.
Born nearly eight weeks early, and measuring 3 weeks behind, Cole exhibited more strength, courage, and tenacity than any of us expected him to house in that little body of his. What we all underestimated was, while his body was small, his heart and his will was large. Since day one, he was formed a fighter, and he was born a survivor. He defied the odds everyday inside the womb and continued to fight during his one day outside.
Cole joins his Great-Grandfather, Randall Prall; his Great-Uncle, Arthur "Sam" Sena and his Great-Great-Grandmother, Emma Delora in heaven. Besides his parents, Cole is survived by maternal Grandparents, Jeanette Castillo and Willie Castoreno III, and paternal grandparents, James and Sighle Prall; Great-Grandparents, Juanita and Ron Loera, and Geraldine Froats; Aunts and Uncles, Janessa Castillo, Brian Cordova Jr., Amanda and Daniel Fox, Alexa and Johnny Wood, Andrea and Abbey Prall and Samuel Acosta; Cousins, Ella, Evelyn, Elise, Taylor, Jayden and Haileigh; and Godparents, Stacey Swisher and Samantha Franco and Johnny and Alexa Wood.
