Curtis William Kitchen, 71, of Littleton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2015.
Curt was born to the late Arthur W. and Elsie A. Kitchen on May 19, 1943. He graduated from Ouray High School, and received a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology as well as a Master's Degree in Linguistics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He also received a Doctorate in Communications from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Curt was a Systems Analyst as well as a Data Architect and Modeler. He taught Software Engineering and Data Warehouse for the University of Denver for six years. After his retirement from the Denver Water Department, Curt spent nearly 20 years as a consultant.
Curt is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda, his daughter, Adrienne, and numerous extended family throughout the country.
He loved to travel and visited 49 states and five foreign countries. Curt also loved a good story, be it a book, movie or play, and making people laugh - so much so he was known for his puns, dubbed "Curtisms" by his friends.
At his request, no services are planned at this time.
