Dale D. DeWoody, 80, of Arvada, passed away November 3, 2014.
He was born November 2, 1934 in Limon, Colorado, the son of Willie and Pansy (Harlow) DeWoody. He attended North High School. On February 7, 1959 he married Yvonne Tate, of Denver, Colorado. Dale and Yvonne were married and devoted to each other for 54 years before her death in 2013.
Dale was a tile setter by trade and was known to create beautiful flooring. Although he was always loved his home town, and was a devout North Denverite, he and Yvonne retired and moved to Las Vegas, where they spent the last 20 plus years, enjoying all that Vegas has to offer. Dale always enjoyed time with family and longtime good friends – he was happiest when spending time with those he loved. After Yvonne passed, he moved back to the Denver area – wanting to be close to home and family.
Dale is survived by his brother, Aubrey L. (Donna M.) DeWoody; two nieces, Terri L. Townsend, Linda M. (Calvin L.) Shankster; and a nephew, Donald J. Lambuth. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Marie L. Lambuth; brother, Billy J. DeWoody; and nephew, Randy L. DeWoody.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dale's name to the Alzheimer's Association https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2.
The family is very appreciative of the visits, cards and prayers for Dale as he struggled with his health.
