Dale E. Siedelmann

March 29, 1930 — April 6, 2014

Dale Eugene Siedelmann, 84, of Denver passed away Sunday, April 6th, 2014.
He was born on March 29th, 1930, in Exira, IA and raised by his mother on a farm in Audubon, IA. Dale served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1953, and was a POW for three years during the Korean War. He married the love of his life Phyllis Grace Johnson on June 20th, 1954 in Van Meter, IA. They started their life together in Panora, IA before relocating to Denver in 1958.
Dale was always interested in sound. He attended TV repair school after returning from the service. He and Phyllis ran a commercial sound business.
Dale enjoyed camping, fishing – although he never caught a fish, bowling, gardening, playing softball, watching The Rockies and Broncos, and especially spending time with his family. He was an active member with The Independent Order of Foresters. He served on the High Court and started such programs as the bowling tournament and the camping club.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter Delores Ann Siedelmann and granddaughter Kaylee Holtzman. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, two daughters Debra Kay Holtzman, 58 of Wheat Ridge, and Connie Sue Siedelmann, 56 of Denver, one granddaughter Erica Marie Ray (Adam Ray), 27 of Aurora, one great granddaughter Harley Grace Ray, 2 of Aurora and one surviving brother Arnold Siedelmann (Florence), 86 of Lady Lake, FL.

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5pm to 8pm Friday, April 11th, 2014. Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at 10am followed by burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
