Dale A. Pettis, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, departed from this world on February 8, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on September 19, 1939, Dale had a proud career as a brick mason, crafting not just structures but also a lifelong legacy built on hard work and dedication. Among his proudest accomplishments was the construction of his beautiful brick home in 1977, a labor of love that stood as a testament to his skills and determination.

Dale was known for his deep faith in God, joy in attending church, love of nature, finding solace in the great outdoors. He was an avid lover of wildlife, spending countless hours fishing at his favorite spots and nurturing his garden, a sanctuary where he could connect with the earth. With each cast of his fishing line and every flower that bloomed in his garden, he manifested a deep appreciation for the beauty of life around him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Brent A. Pettis (and wife Beth) and daughter Brenda K. Pettis, both of whom carry forward his spirit and love. Survived also by his grandson Steven and great grandchildren, Dirk and Katian. Dale also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie L. Pettis and Fern Chester, and his dear spouse of 47 years, Janet K. Pettis. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Kenny, Donna (and husband Jim), Jean, and Larry, along with his granddaughter Stefanie.

As we remember Dale A. Pettis, we celebrate a life rich in love, creativity, and connection to the world around him. His legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the beauty he left behind, reminding us all of the strength of family and the simple joys found in nature.
