80 of Aurora, passed away October 5, 2011. Dan was born and raised in Dodge City, KS and entered the US Marine Corps during the Korean War, he was wounded and received a purple heart for his service. After returning home he married his loving wife Esther of 52 years. He went to work for Stanley Aviation Inc., for 25 years as a Precision Tool & Die Maker and helped to create Injection Seats for military aircrafts. He then went to work for the US Postal Service for 21 years. Dan enjoyed being one of Jehova God's servants and loved to share Jehova God's message with bible studies in the prisons. He enjoyed studying the Bible, art, drawing, working in his yard and gardens, but most of all he enjoyed his devoted family. He is survived by his wife, Esther Rodriguez; daughter, Anna Rodriguez and son in law Harold Towers; 1 brother; 4 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Newcomer East Metro Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment with Marine Corps honors will follow the service 12:30 PM, Staging area "B" at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
