Daniel Joseph "Dan" Gallegos , 60, of Denver, passed away October 31, 2016.

He was born April 28, 1956 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Manuel and Josephine (Martinez) Gallegos.

He was a graduate of Mapleton High School. He attended Front Range Community College.

Dan honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.

On September 2, 1980, he married Geri Herrera.

Dan loved the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or camping. He loved his time at the cabin. Dan also enjoyed playing darts. He was a devoted father and grandfather, spending time making beef jerky for his granddaughters to enjoy. Dan had a love for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, often working on them and also built his own Harley Davidson.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Geri Gallegos; Two Daughters, Danielle R. Gallegos, Mia L. Gallegos; Two Grandchildren, Nyah R. Purify and Rayiah L. Harris; Brother, Ronald E. (Lori) Gallegos and Two Nieces, Ariel E. Gallegos and Ashley L. Gallegos.

He is preceded in death by Parents Manuel O. and Josephine B. Gallegos and Sister, Cathy L. Gallegos.
