Daniel Lee Fletcher
July 4, 1936 – July 10, 2012
Daniel Lee Fletcher, beloved husband of Verna and loving father to four girls, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2012 in his home in Littleton, Colorado. He will be laid to rest on July 17, 2012 at Fort Logan Cemetery. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife Verna, daughters Patricia Woodin (Randy), Lorriane Weimer (Rod), Danni Baird (Rex), nine grandchildren, Lanae, Nathan, T.J., Dan, Adam, Jeremy, Carla, Richard, and Ben and fifteen great grandchildren.
Dan was born in Denver, Colorado on July 4, 1936. On October 10, 1953 he married the love of his life Verna Lee. He served in the Army in Korea from January 1955 to December 1956 where he learned to appreciate patriotism and the United States; he earned an honorable discharge.
Dan owned and operated a gas station/garage in the early 1960's where he proved his dedicated work ethic. He then moved on to be a truck driver for the next twenty five years. Dan and Verna loved to travel and were fortunate to spend many hours on the beach and have their dream vacation in Alaska. Dan was a collector of many items and was an avid Broncos fan.
Dan was a faithful, loving husband, father of four wonderful girls, and grandfather to seven active grandsons, two beautiful granddaughters, and fifteen fantastic great grandchildren. Our "Daddy's" life was his family! He is preceded in death by his daughter Linda Lee Fletcher.
