Daniel Meza Jr., 82, of Thornton, passed away January 12, 2016.
He was born March 10, 1933 in Brighton, Colorado, the son of Daniel and Amada "Amy" (Valverde) Meza. Following his honorable service with the US Army during the Korean War, Daniel received his GED and later his Draftsman degree in San Jose, CA.
On July 5, 1987, he married Carmelita "Dolly" Santoya.
He was a long time employee with IBM, retiring in 1990.
Daniel was a Member of the Los Amigos, the VFW, and the Denver Eagles #2063.
Daniel was an avid Denver Broncos fan who enjoyed fishing and watching movies. He also enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Daniel is survived by His Wife, Carmelita "Dolly" Meza; Two Daughters, Lisa (Trinidad Martinez Sr.) Martinez and Carol (Mark) Aguilar; Seven Grandchildren, Chante (Martin Montoya) Martinez, Danielle (Zach Aragon) Aguilar, Shantell Martinez, Trinidad Martinez, Jr., Tia Aguilar, Angelique Aguilar and ShyAnne Martinez; Five Great-Grandchildren, Martin Montoya, Jr., Aalyiah Aragon, Oliver Montoya, Gideon Montoya and Genasis Aragon; Brother, John (Ida) Meza; sister, Dorothy Lopez; his brothers-and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Dora) Santoya, Richard (Frances) Santoya, Russell (Terese) Santoya, Robert Santoya, Linda C. Baros and Mary Ellen (Bill) Barnes and Numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father, Daniel Meza, Sr., Mother, Amada "Amy" Meza, and Two Brothers, James Meza and Vincent Meza.
