Daniel S. Zirkle

Daniel Scot Zirkle, 49, of Highlands Ranch, passed away May 30, 2015 with friends and family by his side.

He was born February 24, 1966 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Ralph and Rita (Mair) Zirkle. He was a graduate of Aurora Central High School. Daniel attended Arapahoe Community College and numerous professional workshops and classes. On July 4, 1997 he married his best friend, Michelle Gruber, of Aurora, Colorado.

Dan loved everything outdoors. As an outdoors man he fly fished, hunted, ice fished, mountain biked, skied, snowmobiled and really enjoyed sitting on a boat with a fishing pole in his hand telling fisherman tales. He enjoyed sharing his mountain house with friends and family. Being in the mountains around nature was his true pride and joy.

Daniel is survived by his loving mother, Rita Zirkle; siblings, Peter (Mary) Zirkle, Michelle (Jerry) Wilson, Michael Zirkle; best friend, Michelle Gruber; daughter, Raquel Gruber; son, Michael Gruber; four nieces, Amanda Rhue, Jessica Walsh, Katharine Wilson, and Shannon Zirkle; two nephews, Jacob Wilson and Sean Zirkle; and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Eugene Zirkle.
