Darrel Ray Walters

On February 2, 2012, Darrel Ray Walters, age 54, of Lakewood, passed away. Darrel was the son of Ray Walters and Madeline Walters (deceased); brother of Charlene (Schutte) Walters and Ron Walters; uncle of Ray Andrew Walters and Keith Borgaard; and great-uncle to Brody and Abby Borgaard.

Darrel extremely enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends and family and achieved numerous trophies competing in motocross events. Darrel was a devoted family member and always made time to reach out to others and keep in touch and help out with anything they needed.

To friends, Darrel was always available and helped many by using his mechanical skills and ingenuity to work on or repair just about anything. By occupation, he was a very accomplished and experienced steel fabricator who could do anything with metals.

Darrel loved and cared for all animals. He routinely cared for any animal that would find their way to his yard, many times nursing abandoned baby animals back to health. Darrel was greatly loved by all that knew him and will be eternally missed and always present in our hearts.
