David G. Becker
David G. Becker, 53, Aurora, CO, passed away September 5th peacefully in his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Loved ones were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born on January 9th, 1959 in Great Falls, MT, the son of Lawrence and Mary Jo (Keef) Becker. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Great Falls High School. In 1979 he began working for the Phone Company as a telephone installer. During his 31years he worked all over the state of Wyoming and the Denver, Colorado Metro area, always volunteering to work on the road, because of his love to see new places and meeting new people. David and Judy met while working and were happily married for 8 years. He retired in December of 2009.
David enjoyed RV camping, especially in The Black Hills of South Dakota and Glacier National Park. He was a Youth Minister and took groups camping in the Unita Mountains in Utah loving to share his outdoor experiences with young people. He loved to play basketball (commonly referred to as Beckerball) and was an avid football fan – cheering for the Green Bay Packers! David was a dog lover, always having a little Black Lab female at his side and willing to drive miles to rescue a pup in need. More than anything, David loved to be with family and was hero to his numerous nieces and nephews. Dave's great sense of humor earned him the nickname of "One-step Dave". His laughter was infectious. He will be forever loved and missed. No matter where he happened to be living, he always considered himself to be a Montanan!
