David Hoycott (Haycock) Jr.

David Hoycott (Haycock) Jr. A beloved Dad, Brother, Spouse, Papi, Cousin and Friend passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 74.

Born on February 22, 1951, in Tuba City AZ. He graduated from Payson High School and went on to serve a mission for the Latter-Day Saint Church. When he returned, he took the ACT test at BYU which was the highest of any Navajo that had ever taken it. He took some college courses met Irene, got married and started their family which included Joree and Fuger. He lived in Arizona, Utah and then Colorado.

He worked in a variety of fields throughout his life, including construction with several companies, Dixon Paper Company, Sales, RTD bus driving, a funeral home, and the phone company.He had many talents and gained experience in numerous trades. He could work on cars, fix almost anything, and often improvised with whatever materials he had on hand to make things work.

David is survived by his dad Monte Depew. Children: Joree Hoycott, Fuger Hoycott (Chelsea Hoycott) , William Hoycott (Danielle Watchman), Aricia Hoycott (Keith Carr) and Michael Hoycott. Grandchildren: Sage Villalovas, Lucas Hoycott, Lyla Hoycott, Kaybah Hoycott, Nevaeh Carr, Jeffery Carr and Mia Carr. Spouse Rosie Rivera, her 3 children and several grandkids. Siblings: Leroy Sloan, Milton Smith, Joetta Goldtooth, Colleen Yellowhair, Debra Depew Hale, Darryl Depew, Janelle Depew Bond, Kathleen Depew Lange, Russell Depew and Ryan Depew. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mom Helen Yellowhair. Marie Depew, siblings: Dorci Benally, Steven Hunter,

David enjoyed the outdoors, any family time, teasing anyone and everyone around. He lived life to the fullest, sometimes he leapt before he should have but did so with few regrets.

Services will be on Saturday, December 6 2025 at 11 AM.
