David “Dave” Anthony Parrott of Brighton, Colorado gained his angel wings on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Wheatridge, Colorado. David was 76 years young.

David Parrot was born in Flint Michigan to John B. Parrott of Michigan and Mary Laconte of New Jersey on August 18, 1948 at 11:45am. He grew up in Michigan with his five siblings Bernard “Bernie” Parrott (deceased), Patrick Parrott, Sandra Hoke (Parrott)(deceased), Suzie Pitts (Parrott) and Toni Slowgrove (Parrott). David lived in Michigan until the late seventies which then he moved to Colorado. David loved the Rocky Mountains especially in the fall when the leaves would change color. David was an avid sports fan. He loved all his Michigan teams especially his Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and the Redwings. In his younger years David liked to ice-skate which he taught his daughter Stephanie how to ice skate. That is something they shared together. The love of football he shared with his son Brian and love of music with his daughter Dawn. David was a gentle loving man. He held no judgement on anyone and he made friends wherever he went.

In 1991, David married his wife and friend V. Myra Parrott (Colvin) at that time he became a dad to her three children, Dawn, Brian and Stephanie. At that time, he was nicknamed “Papa”.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Laconte. His father John B. Parrott. David’s beloved wife and friend Myra Parrott (Colvin) and his siblings Bernard “Bernie” Parrott and Sandra (Sandy) Marie Hoke (Parrott).

David is survived by his three step-children, Dawn Portell (Heinz) of Brighton, Colorado, Brian Heinz of Brighton, Colorado and Stephanie Fleming (Heinz) of Commerce City, Colorado along with his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

David is truly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
