David was born May 18, 1926 in Cañon City, Colorado to Wilbur A. and Lois C. (Goodrich) Proctor and passed away at the age of ninety on June 14, 2016 at Holly Heights Nursing Center in Denver, Colorado.
David proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and after returning from service, married Betty Lee Barbee, the love of his life, on September 1, 1946. David was a midget car racer in his younger days and always loved fast cars. David worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for thirty seven years and retired in July of 1981. Dave could build or fix just about anything and was the neighborhood "Mr. Fix-It".
David was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brother, John B. Proctor.
David is survived by his children Linda Pfannenstiel of Hartsel, Colorado, Stephen Proctor of Georgetown, Delaware and Lois Butcher of Richfield, Minnesota. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
