Delano Richard Ramos (Del), 92 years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was surrounded by his family.

Delano was born on January 22, 1934, to parents Noberto Ramos and Estefanita Sandoval in Jaroso, Colorado. After his mother’s death he was raised by his grandparents, Jacobo and Edubiges Sandoval in Taos, New Mexico.

Delano was the last sibling alive from the Noberto and Estefanita family; it is the end of a generation. Delano married Anna Mae Martinez on November 27, 1954, and together they raised five children, Glen, Herlinda, Valerie, Gary & Lary.

Delano started working at age 14 years old, driving a soda truck throughout New Mexico.

After marriage, Delano was very successful, working at Timpte Trailers, Birko Chemical, Nobel Sysco, and retiring from Denver City and County/ Stapleton and Denver International Airport. Delano also had an entrepreneurial spirit working as an independent truck driver and owned a liquor store.

His passion was driving his Peterbilt Semi truck or his motor home. Every summer, Delano drove his RV and created lasting memories. He and Anna Mae would take their children, and grandchildren camping, fishing, and traveling every summer.

Delano enjoyed life and was a happy man always with a smile. He loved visiting with family, watching sports and old westerns. His favorite show to watch was Gunsmoke on TV. He enjoyed listening to country music and singing along. Delano also loved his cat, Bill Grey, who became his constant companion.
