Della Catherine Jones Boyle, 85, known to many as Cathie, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by her family on January 26, 2016 in Greenwood Village, CO. She was born November 24, 1930 in Bountiful, Utah to Millard Lawrence Jones, Sr. and Catherine Lucy Bangerter Moss Jones. Her family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1935, returning to Bountiful in 1942. In 1947 they moved to Draper, Utah where she attended and graduated from Jordan High School. She also attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

In 1951, she married Thomas Robert Boyle of Salt Lake City, UT. They had four children, Kristine, Thomas D., Brian D. and Robert M. Boyle. In October of 1969, her husband, Bob, unexpectedly passed away, leaving her a young widow at 38. She returned to college so that she might better provide for her four children, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Denver. After graduation, she went to work for the Social Security Administration from which she retired after more than 20 years of service.

Cathie was known for her strong will, her generous heart, her great sense of humor and her artistic abilities. She enjoyed music, reading mystery novels and mastered the skills of sewing, knitting, cross stitch, woodcarving and gardening. She loved all animals, but especially her mini-schnauzers, Mikey, Skeeter and Clancey. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all of them.

Edwards and brother-in-law Donald L. (Dorothy) Boyle.
