Delores Louise Wynkoop
Daughter of Oral Curtis "Joe" and Lela Ethel Owens

Died August 15, 2014 in Centennial, Colorado
She was 84
Delores moved with her family to the Western Slope of Colorado in about 1934 when they moved from Kansas to escape the dust bowl situation. She lived in and around the Fruita area until she was married to Alva "A.J." Wynkoop on March 27, 1949. A.J. and Delores soon moved to the Denver area, where they eventually settled in Littleton in 1968. They resided there for 46 years.
She is survived by her husband A.J. Wynkoop; one daughter, Christeena (Nick) Schaefer; two sons, Keith (Laura Nelson) Wynkoop and Calvin (Leslie) Wynkoop; two grandsons, Kevin (Jean) Denny and Justin (Rebecca) Talmadge; step-grandchildren Harvest Smith, Natalie Schaefer, and Alex Schaefer; great-grandson, Jared Talmadge; sister Bonnie Miller; and brother Leon Owens . She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Juanita Ward and granddaughter Angel Wynkoop.
Delores was a stay-at-home mom most of her life, later working part time and then full time in various clerical positions. Her home and family were immensely important to her. She loved reading, music, crocheting, painting, camping, and trail bike riding.
