Diana Ray Cruser Newmark Pipkin, 66, of Aurora, Colorado, died at home on December 11, 2013.
She was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, on May 24, 1947. She married Charles "Chuck" Pipkin on December 20, 1989, in Aurora, Colorado, where they lived.
Diana was a dedicated teacher in the Denver School District, retiring in 2012. She was active in the Denver Classroom Teachers Association, having also served a term as president.
Diana was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, having traced her heritage back to Colonel Christopher Green of Rhode Island, who served during the Civil War. She also loved the beach and taking cruises with her children and grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her husband, Chuck; two children, Bryan (Pastora) Newmark of Homestead, Florida, and Brenda Newmark Pugh Ranck of Aurora, Colorado; four grandchildren, Elicia (Josh) Barton of Trenton, Georgia, Andrew Pugh of Lakewood, Colorado, Brandi Newmark and Mikal Newmark, both of Homestead, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Robin and Breanna Barton, both of Trenton, Georgia; her sister, Linda Meyer, and her brother, Gary Cruser. Diana was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Young Bracamonte, of Tucson, Arizona.
A private viewing was held December 13, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Memorial services and interment will be held at a later date at Fort Logan.
