Donald G. Rigerman
(November 16, 1925 - August 29, 2012)
Donald Glenn Rigerman entered into his eternal rest on August 29, 2012 at Collier Hospice Center. He was born November 16, 1925 in Lockport, NY, the son of Howard and Catherine (Dwyer) Rigerman. He married Barbara Wendler on October 16, 1948 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolcottsburg, NY. They were married for over 56 years, until Barbara's death in February, 2005. Twylah Wobermin, widow of John (2003), and Don shared love and many good times the past couple of years.
Mr. Rigerman attended Parker High School in Clarence, NY. Donserved in the US Navy from September, 1943 to April, 1946 as a Gunner's Mate 2nd Class on LST 667. Maintaining the ship's guns was the beginning of many years in the machinist and maintenance field, including employment with Packaging Corporation of America (Lockport, NY), Amoco Plastic Products (Stow, OH) and Gates Energy Products (Denver, CO).
Mr. Rigerman is survived by his three children: Dennis and his wife, Christine (Burbank, OH); Laura and her husband, Thom DiGeronimo (Denver, CO); and Deborah and her husband, Jay Zettervall (Kirkland, WA).
He also leaves 4 grandchildren: Casey Rigerman (Denver, CO), Jason Zettervall (Denver, CO), Rachel (Zettervall) - wife of Zach Martineau (Butte, MT) and Ryan Rigerman(Burbank, OH). In addition, Don had 2 great grandchildren: Emma Grace and Levi Caleb Martineau (Butte, MT).
Don was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; his brother, Richard Rigerman and his wife, Norma; and two brothers-in-law, Earl Schubel, husband of Barbara's sister, Adeline; and Barbara's brother, Arthur Wendler, who also passed away on August 29th.
Friends may call at the Newcomer Funeral Home-West Metro Chapel, 901 South Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, CO on Wednesday, September 5th, from 6 to 8 PM. Service will be held Thursday, September 6 at Heritage Community Bible Church, 5615 West 64th Ave, Arvada, CO at 10 AM, with visitation starting there at 9 AM.
