Donald Burke Petersen

Donald Burke Petersen, 68, born November 23, 1948 in Blair, Nebraska. Passed away March 4, 2017 of natural causes. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 32 Years; daughter Jamie and grandsons; sister Susan Sparks; nieces, nephews and a number of cousins in Colorado, Nebraska and California.
He is preceded in death by parents Bud and Vi Petersen; all grandparents, aunts and uncles. The Petersen family moved to Aurora, Colorado from Blair, Nebraska when Burke was a young boy. As a longtime Aurora resident, he attended local public school and graduated from Fort Collins College.
Soon after college Burke became a business partners in his father's machine shop. Burke was passionate about all sports, but particularly loved playing the game of golf!! Burke was not a fancy guy, but liked simple things and good times to be had by all.
Burke's last wish is for all of his family and friends to meet at the 19th hole at Tin Cup, located at the Aurora Golf Club on April 8, 2017 at 11:00am to celebrate his life.
