Donna Jeanne Ayala, 68, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at her home in Aurora.
She was born November 4, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, to Alfred John and Dorothea Nell (Blakely) Dreiling.
She was a 1965 graduate of Aurora Central High School. She attended Colorado State University and Metropolitan State University of Denver. She graduated from the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading novels and playing the piano.
She is survived by her father, Alfred Dreiling of Hays, Kansas; five children, Michael Hoefer of Arvada; Stephen Hoefer of Alexandria, Virginia; Laura Ayala of Aurora; Sarah Ayala of Aurora; and Paul Ayala of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two grandchildren; Reagan Hoefer of Arvada; and Aiden Ayala of Aurora; two brothers, James Dreiling of North Charleston, South Carolina; and Larry Dreiling of Hays, Kansas.
Her mother and grandparents preceded her in death.
There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Michael the Archangel on Monday, June 27th at 10:30am.
