Donna Mae Lowrie of Aurora, Colorado, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, after 89 years on earth.
She was born to Cecil and Selma Sowles, June 19, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN. Donna graduated from Roosevelt High School, 1942. She married Roy Winston Lowrie in May, 1946. They lived in Minneapolis, MN before they relocated to Texas, Arizona and then Colorado in 2003.
Donna was an active member of New Hope Community Church in Aurora, CO. She loved to cook and always put on a good feast. She also loved to take care of her husband, Winston, the family and friends.
Donna is survived by her husband Roy Winston Lowrie of Aurora, Co. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Larson, brother, James Sowles, her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mark Lunder, her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Gloria Lowrie, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Selma Sowles, her brother, Larry Sowles and daughter, Patricia Jackson.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013, 11:00 AM at New Hope Community Church, 17699 East Hampden Ave. Aurora, CO 80013. 303-690-0143.
