Dorothy (Dottie) Shannon of Littleton, Colorado, wife of the late William Shannon, passed away on Sept. 8, 2012. She had four children by her first marriage to Ralph Baird (deceased); Debbie Ford (John), Kevin Baird (Peggy Everett), Steve Baird, Tom (Jamie) Baird and her grandchildren Katie Ford Sterk (Matt), Chris Ford (Cristina Lombardi-Ford), Annie Ford-Huebner (Mark), Tavis Baird, Emily Plover (John), Nina Lumpp, Shawn (Elise) Baird Constantini; great grandchildren; sister in-law Mary Everly; and nephews and extended family from Lexington, Kentucky, and her dear friend, her life long buddy - Elaine Marr (Elliott Moore).
She was preceded in death by her Husband William Shannon, parents Frank and Mabyn Everly, her brother Lyman Everly.
Dottie was born in Royal Oak, Michigan May 7, 1931. She attended East High School in Denver, Colorado and retired from the City and County of Denver. Dottie was an avid reader, team sports enthusiast, shopper, and enjoyed politics. She was well known for her gourmet cooking, sense of humor, love of dogs and artistic ability. She enjoyed her family gatherings where her children and grandchildren performed fun skits and songs.
