Dorothy Ann Redwine

Dorothy Ann Redwine, 68, of Aurora passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Daughter of Paul and Marie Scharff, Dorothy was born on April 18, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Immaculate High School where she enjoyed singing in the High School Choir. She married Leondis Jay Redwine II on May 3, 1975. Since he was in the Navy they lived in New Orleans, Texas, Kansas, England and California, finally settling in Aurora, Colorado. Dorothy Ann was an amazing homemaker, wife and mother to her daughter Mary Theresa Gerstner. She was a devoted wife of 41 years and a dedicated loving mother.

Dorothy was devoted and dedicated to her religious beliefs especially praying the rosary. Dorothy became the grandmother for the first time in 2007. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She surrounded her grandchildren with warmth, kindness and love.

Dorothy is survived by husband of 41 years Leondis Jay Redwine II; daughter Mary Theresa (Justin) Gerstner; five grandchildren McKenzie Elizabeth, Connely Fitz-Patrick, Brooklyn Renee, Silas Leon and Liam Jackson Gerstner; and sister Mary Catherine Rouse. She is preceded in death her parents Paul and Marie Scharff.
