Dorothy Louise (Quier) Thomas, of Denver, Colorado, born September 2nd 1925 and died in Denver on November 12th 2017.
Dorothy was a graduate of Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She was an artist and craftsperson and an avid collector of art and antiques. One of her passions was actually reupholstering antique furniture. After a period as an elementary teacher, she became the personal assistant to Lawrence Phipps Jr. and managed his personal and financial affairs for over 25 years. In 1961 she married Cosby D. Thomas, who died in 1995. Together they traveled widely and were both loyal Denver Broncos fans and members of the Quarter Back Club - rarely ever missing a home game. Dorothy was an active member of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John in the Wilderness. She both studied and taught adult education courses and loved tackling everything from theology to issues from The Great Books Series. Both Dorothy and Cosby were life members of the Denver Athletic Club. No formal services will be held.
