Dr. William J. "Bud" Schmitz was born on June 1, 1931 and entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2012.
Preceded in death by his beautiful wife Pat, his parents George and Marie and his siblings, Edward, Martha and Donald.
Survived by his five children, Nancy (Dean) Clark, Bud (Sally) Schmitz, Barb (Jim) Amen, Sally (Bob) Kopf and Tommy (Dawn) Schmitz. Also survived by fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Viewing, Wednesday, November 28 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel. Funeral Mass, Thursday, November 29 at 10:00AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7240 W. 12th Ave., Lakewood. Rev. James Goggins, Celebrant.
Commital Service, Monday, December 3 at 10:30AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area / Shelter "B". Military Honors by the
United States Marine Corps and the All Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Joe Clark, John Clark, Cody Kopf, Kellen Kopf, Jeff Barath, Brennan DeWitte, Dan Koob, Jason Wallen and Jeremy Dean.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Dr. William J. "Bud" Schmitz.
