Dusty Rhoads, 87, of Aurora, passed away August 3, 2017.
He was born July 13, 1930 in Reading, Pennsylvania, the son of Roy and Essie Rhoads. He was a graduate of Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended Pikes Peak Community College. On June 1, 1982 he married Nelda Murphy, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dusty is survived by his wife, Nelda Rhoads; three step-sons, Patrick (Penny Beardslee) Murphy, Mark Murphy, and Kelly (Tammi) Murphy; four grandchildren, Joshua (Amber) Murphy, Colsie (Cooper) Searcy, Shalene (Matt) Smelker, and Cristy (Ryan Alvarez) Murphy; six great-grandchildren, Carter Searcy, Elaina Searcy, Hayden Murphy, Myah Alvarez, Luke Smelker, and Tanner Smelker; sister, Dolores (Harry) Crowton; and brother, Donald Rhoads. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Essie Rhoads.
