Efren P. Chavez, born on June 9, 1939, in Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, in Thornton, Colorado.
Efren will be remembered as a hardworking man who spent his career in construction, specializing in cement finishing. His work reflected steady dedication and the strength of a life built through honest labor. He spent much of his time working, and also treasured time shared with his close friends.
Those who knew Efren will remember his wonderful sense of humor and the ease with which he connected with others. He was well liked by everyone, and his warm presence left a lasting impression on the people around him. His laughter, friendship, and kind spirit will be deeply missed.
Efren is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Chavez, and by his daughter, Deanna Chavez. He is also survived by his sister, Beatriz Aguilar, and her husband, Jorge, as well as his brother, Enrique Chavez. He is also survived by an extended family. The love of his family and the bonds he shared with them remain a lasting part of his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Chavez; his mother, Ricarda Chavez; and his brother, Silverio Chavez.
Efren’s life was one of hard work, humor, and friendship. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
