SEVERSON, EILEEN RUTH

Eileen Severson, 91, resident of Lakewood, CO, passed away, August 18, 2015.
Eileen was born to the late Vincent and Anna Pospisil on January 31, 1924 on a farm in Madison County, Nebraska. She married Dean Severson November 9, 1941. After living in Nebraska and Spokane, Washington, Dean and Eileen moved to Denver in 1958 where they lived for the rest of their lives.

Eileen worked in food service for Mountain Bell and Jefferson County School District until her retirement. She was actively involved in the Trinity Lutheran Church Bible Study, Good Shepherd and Braille programs. Upon retirement she and Dean traveled extensively with the Roadrunner RV club and took additional trips to Hawaii and Alaska. Eileen loved to be outdoors tending her vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed activities with the Knothole Gang, Nifty Sixties and Western Fraternal Lodge Association.

Family was the center of Eileen's life and she is survived by her five children: Vickie Lynn Jones (late Dennis Jones) of Evergreen, CO.; Nadine Ashcraft (Chris) of San Carlos, Mexico; Denise Price (Phil) of Thornton, CO.; Valdean Severson (Barbara) of Albuquerque, NM; Jay Severson (Kelly) of Highlands Ranch, CO. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and one brother, Ruben Pospisil.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4225 W. Yale Ave., Denver, CO. 80219.
