Elba E. Aragon , 88, of Denver, passed away January 11, 2017.
She was born December 6, 1928 in Trinidad, Colorado, the daughter of Faustin and Nettie (Sanchez) Lopez.
Elba was a graduate of Primero Junior/ Senior High School in Trinidad. She received her Associates degree at Trinidad Junior College, then went on for her Bachelors degree at Adams State University in Alamosa, CO. Later after she was married and had children she continued her education summers commuting to the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley.
On June 30, 1951, she married Floyd Aragon.
Elba was a 4th and 5th Grade School Teacher for the Denver Public Schools.
Elba was a longtime parishioner at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Denver Teacher's Union.
Above all, Elba enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed improving her education, baking and gardening.
Elba is survived by Son, Kenneth F. (Christine) Aragon; Daughter, Kathryn (Paul Franchois) Aragon; Seven Grandchildren, Candice (Jordan Knoll) Aragon, Amber (Christopher Bernard) Aragon, Kristen (Robert Castillo) Aragon, Ryan O'Hayre, Gerard (Kayla) Franchois, Gabriela Franchois, Magdalena Franchois; Four Great-Grandchildren, Alexandria Aragon, Brea Bernard, DeMia Bernard, Delia Castillo; and Many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Floyd Joseph Aragon; Parents, Faustin and Nettie Lopez; Brother, Max Lopez and Two Sisters, Florence Lamorie and Helen Trujillo.
