Elena Mercedes Griffith, 88, of Aurora, passed away June 5, 2017.
She was born August 22, 1928 in Panama, the daughter of Cuthbert and Josephine (Butcher) Rowe. She attended New York City Technical College.
Elena is survived by three children, Rogelio Panton, Judith (Arnold) Shan, and Raul Panton; five grandchildren, Michelle Panton, Arnold A. Shan, Jr., Nilka Klasen, Amin Shan, and Raquel Panton; nine great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cuthbert and Josephine Rowe.
