Elias "Eli" Gonzales, born on April 25, 1997, in Lakewood, Colorado, left this world far too soon on November 11, 2025, in the comforting presence of his family. Eli was a vibrant spirit known for his boundless humor and a knack for bringing joy to those around him. His playful nature made him a beloved figure among friends and family alike, and his ability to lighten any moment with laughter was truly a gift.
Eli's life was rich with experiences and milestones that his loved ones will cherish forever. He proudly attended St. John's Military School for four years, where he forged deep connections with peers and educators. His tenure there earned him the Alumni status "Old boy", His family took great pride in visiting him, reflecting their support and love as they watched him grow into the man he became. Throughout his life, Eli embraced adventure and camaraderie, as evidenced by his love for sports and his time in the Boy Scouts.
Eli was deeply devoted to his daughter, Ezme, whom he cherished above all else. His proudest accomplishment was being present in her life, nurturing and guiding her while creating unforgettable memories. Together, they spent countless joyful afternoons exploring parks, sharing laughter, and forging a bond that will resonate through time. Eli loved to play pool, to go fishing at various spots, and these simple pleasures were often made even more special when shared with the ones he loved.
The warmth of his personality shone brightest through his loyal and protective nature, especially towards his family. Eli was known for his stubbornness, yet this quality came hand-in-hand with a commitment to respect and dignity that endeared him to many. Eli is survived by his devoted father, Richard; caring sister, Brianna; loving daughter, Ezme; dearest aunt, Geri; uncle, Ray; as well as his niece, Tammy, and nephew, Abel. Each one carries a piece of him in their hearts, and his memory will forever hold a special place in their lives.
