Elijah-Shane Nathaniel Sexton, 6 months, passed away March 7, 2016.
He was born September 17, 2015 in Aurora, Colorado, the son of Marisa Rankin.
Elijah-Shane is survived by his mother, Marisa Rankin ; brother, Jasper-Thane Thomas Sexton; grandparents, Michelle (Julio Colon-Flecha) Stevens and Braxton Rankin; uncle, Steven Adams; aunt, Julie Colon. He is preceded in death by his great great-grandmother, Dinah Stevens.
Elijah-Shane Nathaniel was named after the meaning of God's gracious miracle. He was born with left congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He made great strides to continue life with his family, throughout 15 surgeries and over 46 bed side procedures his life is now at peace with the Lord. He was loved by everyone at Children's Hospital and is still loved to this day. There is so much we can learn from Elijah-Shane. We will not take his life for granted and our time with him will be forever cherished in our hearts.
