Elizabeth Ann Hines passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 30th at the Highline Place Memory Care Center in Littleton. She was known to family and friends as Betty Ann. She was born in Albany, New York on June 7, 1944. Betty Ann was the daughter of Judson H. Bosler and Anna Mary Orr Bosler. Her family moved to Colorado in 1955 and Betty Ann graduated from West High School in 1962. She had a long career in the business world. Early in her career, she worked as a bank teller and a secretary in the banking industry. However, the primary focus of her career was working as an HR Recruiter in the healthcare industry. She worked for Swedish Medical Center for 17 years and recruited staff for numerous hospitals and clinics in the HealthOne network for 2 of those years. She retired from McKesson, a healthcare company near Boulder in 2004 and enjoyed a 20+ year retirement.
Betty Ann owned 5 acres of land in McArthur Ranch in Littleton and loved riding her Arabian horses in the ranch. She loved being outdoors, gardening, and taking trips to the Colorado mountains in her spare time. She considered herself a Coloradan and was awed by mountain wildflowers. Her homes were decorated with many beautiful, Colorado mountain scenes. She was known to her neighbors of 40 years as a loving mother and kind friend. She loved to cook and had outstanding baking skills. She would often bake hundreds of Spritz Christmas cookies to share with family and friends for many years. Betty Ann also farmed some crops on her land and was very generous and often gave away surplus corn and other vegetables to neighbors and friends.
Betty Ann is survived by her loving son, Jeff and many other cherished family members living primarily in 4 different cities. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and a positive outlook on life and she will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://donorservices.alz.org, Visiting Angels Foundation of Littleton, or the Highline Place Memory Care Center also in Littleton.
