Elizabeth Wray Smith was born March 27, 1932, in Draper, NC. She grew up there, attending public schools, graduating from high school in June 1950. They have two children, Randola (married to Mike) and Kent (married to Paula), five grandchildren, Tim, Josh, Nick, Laura and Zac, and three great granddaughters, Ava, Alannah and Cora.
Elizabeth, known as Beth, Mama, Grandma, Piano Grandma, GG, loved reading, crafts, music and playing the piano. She was a homemaker for most of her 59 years of marriage, only working part time at the public schools when her children were younger, and has always been a church pianist since she was a teenager. Her most enjoyable interests centered around her family and having her grandchildren and great grandchildren visit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Wray of Eden, NC. She is survived by her husband, Randolph, of Aurora, CO, her sisters, Bonnie Todd and Sylvia Handy of Eden, NC, her two children, five grandchildren and three great granddaughters, all residing in Colorado.
She lived her life as a Christian daughter, granddaughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and wanted her spiritual legacy to be that all would know she believed in God and trusted in Him and that He knows what is best for us.
