Elsie Schmitke Obituary 

June 5th, 1931-January 20th, 2025 

In Loving Memory of Elsie Margaret Schmitke, 93, Passed away Monday January 20, 2025, at Willowbrook Place, Littleton Colorado. 

Elsie was born June 5th, 1931, in Tuttle, North Dakota to Jacob and Alvina Dockter. She attended and graduated from Goodrich High School, North Dakota. She married Marvin Schmitke in August 1951. They raised a family in Bismarck, North Dakota. She managed the concessions at the Bismarck Civic Center.

Elsie and Marvin enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Brush Lake, boating and fishing. Elsie and her younger sister Florence were nick named the clean sisters from her Nephew Alan Fairchild.

Elsie is survived by her son Dwight (Carla) Schmitke, daughter Sandra Schmitke, Grandchildren, Tyler Radniecki, Jody (Greg) Hobbs and Trudy Radniecki, Great Grandchildren Tyler and Kali Hobbs, Brody and Romi Radniecki , Brother Sonny (Sharon) Dockter, Sister Florence Kluck, and numerous Nieces, and Nephews. 

The Family would like to Thank the Staff at Willowbrook Place and Bloom Hospice for the care given to Elsie during her stay. 

Services to be held Saturday June 7th, 2025, at 11:00 at First Lutheran Church, 800 N. 7th St., Bismark, ND. The Family invites you to join them at the church for Celebration of Life and refreshments. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1313 E. Century Ae., Bismark, ND.
