Elverna Mary Kennedy, 69, lived in Parker, CO died October 11, 2013 at Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton, CO from a massive stroke. Elverna was born on Feb 25, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA to Carl Joseph & Elverna Marie Kennedy Sr. Elverna married David James Bivens October 6, 1967 in Tucson, Arizona. She worked at Palo Verde High School in Blythe, CA. In 2001 she became an office in The Salvation Army. Elverna has lived in Tucson, AZ, Yuma, AZ; Blythe, CA; Parker, CO. In her free time she enjoys Embroidery and Reading.
Elverna M Kennedy is survived by children: Jerry & Katie Bivens of Parker, CO; Rebecca Bivens of Yuma, AZ; & Michael & Adria Bivens of Tucson, AZ | Grandchildren: TJ Bivens of Yuma, AZ; Patrick, David, Jasmine & Allison Bivens of Parker, CO; Savannah & Kylie Bivens of Tucson, AZ | Siblings: Carl J. Kennedy Jr. of CA; Kathleen Dunn of Ecuador | her dog named Little Girl.
Elverna M. Kennedy is predeceased by David J. Bivens (2003) & George Paul (2011).
Services will be held Sunday October 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm located at The Salvation Army, Centennial Corps. Interment will be in Tucson, Arizona at a later date. For more information on services or interment please contact Jerry and/or Katie Bivens at 303-617-7696.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to help pay for the funeral cost, any extra funds will be donated to The Salvation Army. Thank you to The Salvation Army Centennial Corps, Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Group, and Newcomer Mortuary.
