Emma Louise "Lou" Waag, 85, of Wheat Ridge, passed away March 24, 2016.
She was born November 14, 1930 in Jensen, Utah, 1 of 8 children born to Ralph and Sylvia (Smith) Waggoner. Her family moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, when Lou was 3 years old.
She was a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School.
On September 4, 1948, she married Harold Waag in Ft. Collins, CO. They were married for 59 years when Harold passed away on October 22, 2007.
Harold and Lou farmed in Northern Colorado for many years and settled in the Applewood/Golden area for their remaining years.
Lou is survived by Two Daughters, Debra (Bob) Wilson of Wheat Ridge, CO and Sandi (Lee) Pierce of Signal Mountain, TN; Two Sons, Bruce (Linda) Waag of Meridian, ID and Russ Waag of Wheat Ridge, CO; 9 grandchildren, Brandon (Ashley) Waag of Folsom, LA, Kellie (James) Copeland of Grand Prairie, TX, Laurie (Bill) Hopkins of Boise, ID, Adam Pierce of Billings, MT, Emily (Chad) Piala of Lakewood, CO, Annie (Franky) Scaglione of Wheat Ridge, CO, Jonell Anderson of Bozeman, MT, Aaron Pierce of Knoxville, TN and Tarryn Wilson of Wheat Ridge, CO; twelve (12) great-grandchildren; a brother, Col. Robert (Vicki) Waggoner of Bishop, CA and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Harold Arthur Waag; Father, Ralph Waggoner; Mother, Sylvia Waggoner; Brothers, Johnny Waggoner, Russ Waggoner, Dick Waggoner and Frank Waggoner; Sisters, Winifred Cook and Amy Waggoner and a grandson-in-law, Jens Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless because of Lou's heart for those suffering from Bipolar illness.
