Ernesto Jae Sandoval

October 20, 2006 — May 21, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ernesto Jae Sandoval, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon on May 21, 2025, at the age of 18.

Ernesto was born on October 20, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to Christina Sandoval and Michael Hogan. He was the stepson of Immanuel Cisneros and Hannah Hogan.

Ernesto is survived by his devoted parents and a large, loving family that includes his siblings: Aubrey Cisneros, Vayda Cisneros, Tyler Alarid, Anies Hogan, Stephon Hogan, Jeremiah Hogan, Layla Hogan, Gionni Baca, Gummy Hogan, and Ethan Hogan. He is also survived by his grandparents, Christina M. Sandoval, James Sandoval, Greg Hogan, and Carol Orozco; great grandparents, Mary Gallegos and Juanita Hogan;his aunt, Marissa Sandoval; and his uncles, Rico Sandoval, Leo Trevizo, and Clint Hogan. His bond with each of them was special, and he brought laughter and love into their lives in his own unique way.

Ernesto was known for his infectious smile and playful spirit. A natural jokester, he had a way of lighting up any room and making people laugh, even on the hardest days. He had a love for basketball, especially cheering on the Denver Nuggets, and he was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos. Some of his happiest times were spent camping with his family, surrounded by nature and the people he loved most. He also loved going to lunch with his mom or grandma and cherished his time visiting San Luis, Colorado with his grandpa.

He liked working with his dad, spending time on various jobs, and he also enjoyed working with his older cousins. Ernesto was always ready to help out wherever he could with different family members, never hesitating to lend a hand when someone needed him.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be forever remembered for his humor, warmth, and the joy he brought to all who were lucky enough to share in his life.

A celebration of Ernesto’s life will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at New Hope Ministries. A viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Immediately after, a procession for immediate family and close friends will proceed to Mt. Olivet Cemetery for a final ceremony and goodbyes at 2:00 p.m. Following the cemetery service, the family will personally announce the location of Ernesto’s celebration of life.

We kindly ask that the funeral have an all-white theme — it doesn't have to be strictly all white, but please consider white as the main color when choosing your attire. Also, we ask that memorial shirts be saved for the celebration of life, not the funeral. Thank you again.

Gone too soon, but loved beyond measure. Ernesto will always be in our hearts.
