Esther Weiner, a beloved matriarch and a generous spirit, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado, at the age of 91. Born on March 5, 1934, in the Bronx, New York, she lived a remarkable life filled with love, warmth, and unwavering kindness.
Esther was known for her loving nature and her genuine concern for those around her. A kind-hearted woman, she invested her time and energy into her family, friends, and community. A devoted mother to her sons Ned, Hal (and his wife Pam), Tod (and his wife Candy), and daughter Michel (and her husband Ed), she took tremendous pride in raising her children. Her legacy of love continued through her 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Esther cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be forever treasured.
Throughout her life, Esther exemplified caring and generosity. Whether it was volunteering at the senior center or the Audubon Society, she always sought opportunities to help others and give back to her community. She was a great adviser, offering guidance and thoughtful insights that touched many lives. Friends and family often turned to her for support, knowing they would receive not only sympathetic ears but also practical wisdom.
In her younger years, Esther embraced hobbies that reflected her nurturing spirit. Known for her knitting and sewing, she created beautiful blankets filled with love. Esther was also an enthusiastic bowler, having even served as a secretary for a bowling league. Her talents and passion for crafts showcased her creative side, bringing joy and comfort to those who received her handmade gifts.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Weiner, who was her partner in life, as well as her parents, Philip and Minnie Spielvogel, and her siblings Hank, Sol, Phyllis, and Lorraine. While they were an integral part of her story, it is her essence that lives on through the hearts of her surviving family and friends.
As family and friends gather to honor Esther's incredible life, they will remember her not only for her steadfast love and kindness but also for her sweet spirit that made all who knew her feel special. Her service will be held on June 25, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro in Denver, Colorado, with a graveside service following at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Esther Weiner’s legacy will continue to shine brightly through her family and all the lives she touched. Her memory will forever be a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
