Age 89 of Arvada, CO, born in Casselton, ND to Hans and Hattie Rogstad 1 of 8 siblings: Harold, Fern, Audrey, Bud, Dick, Lois, and Yvonne.
WWII Veteran, 15th U.S. Army Air Corp, 451 Bomb Group, Foggia, Italy, Flight Engineer and Waist Gunner on B24, recipient of Distinguished Service Cross.
Loving husband of Jeanie; loving father of Al (Nancy), Steve (Colleen), Larry (Jan), Mary (Greg) Sutliff, Steve (Sandy) Bosserman; 8 cute granddaughters: Kristen, Laurel, Kelsey, Sara, Alison, Carly, Marla and Angie; and numerous family and friends.
He spent his career in retail tire sales for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and also operated service stations in the Oklahoma City area.
In his spare time he loved being with family, loved walking his dogs, painting and working in his yard. He was a multiple Medalist Senior Olympic Speed Skater, including 4 Gold Medals. He enjoyed camping with Jeanie in their RV. He enjoyed daily gin on the rocks.
Graveside Service, Fri. 5/18 at 12pm, Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "A". In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of St. John, 1320 Everett Ct., Lakewood, CO 80215.
