Eugene "Bud" Kerns, 86, of Denver, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 15, 2015.
He was born March 11, 1929 in Seneca, Nebraska, the son of Elmer and Annie (Reinders) Kerns. He was a graduate of High School. Bud was a skilled mechanic with many certificates for his trade. On April 22 1950, he married Annie Liakos, of Bridgeport, Nebraska.
Bud was well known for being a friendly person who could get along with everyone. He was a member of the Cushman Scooter Club, TDI club and Bio-Diesel club. Bud will be remembered as a person who loved to find deals, he loved garage sales, and he could make and fix everything. He built a large addition to the Denver home, installed solar panels, made his own bio diesel fuel and built a compete A-frame home in the mountains in Kremling Co. He was an avid camper/fisherman and traveler, and loved trains and any kind of engine. Above all, Bud loved his wife, Annie and his family.
Bud/Eugene is survived by his loving Wife of 65 years, Annie S. Kerns; Daughter, Peggy A. (Dave) Smith; Three Sons, Steven E. (Vicky) Kerns, Jim E. Kerns (resides with Annie)and Dan E. (Pam) Kerns; Many Grandchildren including Angela Marie, Nicholas, Robert III, William and Holly; Two Great-Grandchildren, Charlana Marie and Adalynn Rose; Two Brothers, Richard (Joanne) Kerns from Concord NC and Norman (the late Ginger) Kerns from Corvallis Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father, Elmer Kerns, Mother, Annie Kerns, Grandchild, Stephanie K. Kerns, Sister, Marlene Garett and Sister, Neva Collins.
