Eva Botello, 86, of Denver, passed away July 27, 2015.

She was born November 29, 1928 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of Joseph and Santana (Ulibarri) Gallegos. Eva attended schools in the Ault and Greeley areas.

She married Albert Walker in Denver, Colorado on September 11, 1948. He passed away on December 6, 1980. She was later married to Heriberto "Shorty" Botello in Denver, Colorado on December 30, 1984 until his passing on June 25, 2005.

Eva enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go camping with her family. She also loved to dance. Eva was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge. Her speciality was baking biscochitos and making salsa for her family and friends. She was an avid Broncos fan, having been a season ticket holder since 1977. She loved music and her favorite singer was Patsy Cline.

Eva is survived by two daughters, Loraine D. (Stan) Citrowske and Donna J. (Albert) Williams; a son, Matt J. (Cathy) Walker; two sisters, Josie Miltenberger and Nora (Paul) Jamieson; a brother, Albert (Sally) Gallegos; grandchildren, Laurie (Larry II) Ford, Robert (Angel) Chavez; Daniel (Michelle) Walker, Joseph (Tanya) Walker, Deanna Walker, Cathy (Louis) Lujan; Albert (Tanya) Williams III, Shay (Jose) Cardenas, Stephanie (DeAndre) Williams; great-grandchildren Larry Lee (Mande) Ford III, Katie (Parke) Ford, A.J. Ford; Brittany (Brandon) Chavez, Brad (Lisa) Chavez; Ciriah, Shannen and Katelin Walker; Avery Walker; Chantell (Adriel) Lujan, Amanda (Daniel Abeyta) Lujan, Patricia Lujan; Xavier, Giovani and Tatiana Cardenas; Kimora and Aleiya Pope; great-great grandchildren Aithen and Aviren Ford; Jada Townes; Analicia Lujan, Zeke Abeyta; numerous extended family members and many friends. Pallbearers: Robert Chavez, Joseph Walker, Daniel Walker, Albert Williams, III, Larry Ford, II, Rene Garcia, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Ford, III, A.J. Ford, Brad Chavez, Jose Cardenas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Heriberto "Shorty" Botello, father, Joseph Gallegos, mother, Santana "Anna" Baca, two brothers, Joseph "Louie" Gallegos and Jerry Baca and a sister, Rita Rivera.

Viewing will be Monday, August 3, 2015 beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, both at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, 901 So. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood. Funeral Mass is Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Blvd., Denver. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, W. 29th Ave. & Wadsworth Blvd., Wheat Ridge.

Following the interment service at Crown Hill, the family of Eva Botello will receive guests at a Reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2950 W. Mississippi Ave., Denver, CO 80219.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Eva's name.
