Evelyn “Pearle” Hart passed away November 18th, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born June 11, 1933, on the Wine Glass Ranch located north of Parks, Nebraska to Mary Katherine Cox (Williams) and Wesley Isaac Cox. Wesley was the ranch manager working for Elmer Hester. Mary kept the books and fed all of the hands on the ranch which included Pearle’s older brothers Lee, Don, Ike, Ivan, Darrell and sister Fern Hoffman (Cox). Pearle had two additional siblings that died in infancy, Elmer Cox a twin to Fern, and Mary Joy Cox.
Pearle attended Parks school until 1947 when she moved with her parents to Denver Colorado to find work. She finished high school in Denver and then went to work at H.H. Tammen Curio Co. During this time Pearle met and married Zean H. Hart, they had two children, Jacqueline K. Eliassen (Hart) and Lawrence M. Hart. Pearle went back to work when her kids went to school, working as a cutter in the garment industry until she was well into her eighties, and she loved what she did.
Pearle is survived by her two children Jacque and Larry, their spouses, grandchildren (Mamo), great grandchildren (GiGi), many nieces, nephews (Auntie), and great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Zean, her parents, her siblings and by her grandson Benjamin M. Hart.
Pearle loved her family. She was always there with a warm meal and a soft bed if you were a little lost and not sure which way your road was going. She will be greatly missed by the entire family and by everyone that knows her.
A celebration of her life will be held in June of 2025.
